    I’m my opinion the best budget radio is the RadioMaster M12. The ability to bind to any receiver, something no other radio does, gives it a leg up on all of them.

    Thank you for the share, I’m always looking for different ways to mount and set up winches on crawlers. I mounted a servo winch next to steering servo in that formation on my Element crawler, it worked great. But the weight up high and to the front seemed to make it a little top heavy. Lately I have been using the rock slider as a mount point with tubing as a guide. This helps keep the center of gravity low where I prefer it. Great video, thank you for sharing. I look forward to your next one.👍

    That yr gyro is actually an agfrc re brand. Agf is actually who make about 90% of the servos and gyros on the market. Ever notice how almost all servos and gyros look exactly the same only with different brands names on them? That’s why. The smaller 4 wire cable is for micro receivers in 1:24 and 1/28 scale drift cars.

    12 minutes and change is pretty good but i was hoping that it would last longer considering the capacity like 20-24 minutes lol. Oh well its still pretty good for a cheaper battery like that. Were you able to get a better run time on smoother surfaces? I'm getting those batteries later today and then the bike the day after. Still excited to get it!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC День тому

      Smoother surfaces will extend your run time for sure. Obviously, how you drive it will also make a big difference. These bikes have A LOT going on with the gyro inside, etc. You are running 2 ESCs, 2 motors....it uses a lot of power.

    • @wolfboy20
      @wolfboy20 9 годин тому

      @@RoadsideRC Ahh ok that makes total sense as far as smoother surfaces extending the run times & the batter not lasting as long because of the gyro and motor running simultaneously lol. I'll use 2 batteries instead of 1 to double the fun! Annnd probably get a higher capacity battery later on. Thanks for replying and I can't wait to pick my Bike up tomorrow evening! I'm so excited!!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

    Like everything redcat, Amazing in many ways, dubious in others. I have the ascent fusion and my WendiGOAT with fusion pro, tc8 marksman and had the amazing kaiju..they are all great vehicles, with amazing components, put together like shit by people who dont care because they are 12-13 year old children in chinese factories. Is what it is. After TRX Redcat is making the best crawlers at the moment and by the way what the hell happened to axial, the chevy looked terrible my cj looked great but WAS terrible, and now its like 24 scale or 6 scale or skip axial. I wonder if HH has a new brand in the works, honestly. And I understand many most will disagree but I have time on my side and I have TRX crawlers with nearly a decade on them and hundred and hundreds of miles, the quality stands out over time. I sold a defender with a verified 1000 plus miles YEARS ago, its insane. anyways, roadside, from drift cars to fusion servo winches, you are chasing after it and I respect that, plus you arent using your girlfriends breasts or adderall popping behavior to get views just lots and lots of info, and a good helping of your opinions, lol One more thing, if the fusion pro has real carbon fiber as opposed to a plastic imitation or light wrap I would be surprised, I have seen so many snapped frames, I think if I had to do over I buy red ascent non fusion and put in the far superior FP rather than the Fusion se non programmable, i would much rather have a steel frame. I totally expect to break it and dont use it all that much as a result. great little truck for a 1.9 though. keep it up, later

    The wheel will not help hold the 2mm set screw in place. It is exposed on final assembly and can backout. This conversion does not work on all 3s arrma vehicles. Example: Vandetta bearing hubs will not allow you to use 17mm axel stubs bc the inner bearing is recessed further apart than the other bearing hubs.

    Hey there, im new to this hobby and i love your videos. But im also a bit lost in all the parts and things i can get for my truck. Me and my 12 y/o son bought a 2nd hand Himoto 1/10 Monstertruck (which is the same truck as the Redcat Volcano EPX and some other brands). I wanted some alu replacement parts for it because 1 side was a bit broken. Here in the Netherlands i can get the parts but they are a bit expensive. When i go to AliExpress i find a lot of alu parts for cheaper. I also watched the HobbyPark store which is a bit more expensive. This video shows the Redcat Volcano which is exactly the same as the Halboxing 16889. But could it be possible Redcat is using better aluminium parts??? My main question is: is there a lot of difference between the 'strenght' of these alu parts? Or are they al from the same factory? I hope you can help me out a bit. What are your thoughts on this?

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC 3 дні тому

      Hello there! Glad you asked. Typically, you DO NOT want aluminum parts on a truck like the volcano. The parts are (1) more expensive and (2) bend and then need replaced. Stick with the plastic parts - especially on the control arms. I have tried many of the aluminum parts from the companies you mentioned - and they were all a disappointment.

    Has anyone gotten complaints from noise in an apartment? I live on an upper floor and I worry the plastic wheels will be too loud on the hardwood.

    A link riser only looks with wheel speed. Why anyone would think this would improve performance on a crawler shouldn't be touching a suspension system. The physics of it requires a negative link height ( front link mounting point to rear mounting point height. In a four link just rasing one really doesn't achieve what's needed.

    Do I have to go brushless to use my 3s battery?

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC 4 дні тому

      That is the best choice long-run, but you could also replace the brushed esc with one that handles 3S and keep the factory motor. However, that will be short lived as the brushed motor will not live long on 3S.
